Program Parameters:
Brake
OFF (Default): When the throttle on the transmitter is cut (stick at lowest position), the motor will spin to a slow stop.
ON: When the throttle on the transmitter is cut, the motor will stop immediately with the brake setting.
Rotate
Rotation of the motor can be reverse with this setting. The default setting is Forward.
Timing
Standard: 0° (Default)
Advance: 12°
Advance+: 20°
A higher setting is required for motors that need a higher starting torque or high rpm applications as in EDF models. Increased timing will have a higher current draw from battery.
Cut-off voltage
Sports: 69%
Standard: 67% (Default)
Race: 65%
This is a low voltage protection function that prevents battery over discharging of current from the motor. The ESC will immediately shut off the output power to the motor when it reaches the set cutoff voltage. The remaining power from the battery allows the receiver and servos to operate for safe landing of the aircraft. It is important to have a fully charged battery before flying your model.
Start (slow-start feature)
Hard (Default)
Soft
The Soft start feature in the speed controller limits the speed of the motor during its initial start up. This can prevent any potential damage to the model's gear train or excessive torque on the model airframe with the sudden large current flow.
Frequency
The frequency setting adjust the pulses that control the motor. 8kHz is applicable for most cases. A higher frequency is required for higher efficiency. The default setting is 8kHz.
Tahmazo Pro.C A Series ESC Program Card can program all A series speed controllers with ease (NiCd battery and Pro.C A-50 ESC are not included, for illustration only).
